The Aqua Nave project, a pioneering collaboration between Iguá Saneamento and Instituto Yarandu, in alliance with Green Nation, was present at the Rio de Janeiro “Bienal do Livro” with an educational and interactive proposal. The initiative brought a themed bus, stylized as a spaceship, where visitors embark on an immersive virtual reality journey. This innovative experience, both playful and interactive, aims to educate participants about the relevance of basic sanitation and encourage the adoption of sustainable practices.

During the experience, visitors are welcomed by the Aqua Nave crew and accommodated in special seats inside the vehicle. Equipped with virtual reality glasses, they begin a digital journey, flying over a simulated river. During this virtual tour, several situations are presented that stimulate reflections on vital topics, such as the responsible use of water, correct sewage treatment, the importance of recycling and environmental conservation, in addition to the risks associated with stagnant water and inadequate disposal of waste.

The investment of Iguá and Instituto Yarandu in this project reflects the commitment of the organizations to inspire the adoption of conscious behaviors and to practice sustainable actions in the daily life of the population. With a significant impact, the Aqua Nave project reached 9,220 participants during the Rio de Janeiro “Bienal do Livro” held from September 1 to 10, 2023. After this event, the project continued its journey through Brazil, expanding its influence and reach in partnership with other engaged organizations.
